Anodizing

Our company offers anodizing of aluminum with a quality guarantee and compliance with all technological standards. We perform aluminum anodizing for various industries, from mechanical engineering to high-precision electronics.

Anodizing parts significantly increases resistance to corrosion and wear, and provides an aesthetic appearance. Our production uses professional anodizing baths and modern electrolytes, which ensures stable coating quality. We perform color anodizing in various color solutions (RAL color anodizing).

During the anodizing of aluminum, the part is immersed in an electrolytic solution, most often containing sulfuric, chromic, or oxalic acid, and connected to a DC power source, where the aluminum acts as the anode. The voltage on the part is usually maintained in the range of 12–20 V, and the current depends on the surface area and electrolyte concentration.

As a result of the electrochemical reaction, an Al₂O₃ oxide film forms on the surface, possessing a porous structure that provides dielectric properties, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance simultaneously.

The thickness of the protective layer for decorative coatings is usually 5-15 µm, and for functional wear-resistant coatings, it is 15-25 µm, up to 100 µm if necessary.

After the oxide film is formed, its pores can be filled with dyes to give a decorative tint or sealed by treatment with hot water or steam, which converts the pores into hydrated Al₂O₃ and increases the density and durability of the coating.

Sealing also reduces hygroscopicity and improves corrosion resistance.

Anodizing creates thin decorative silver, gold, or colored coatings, as well as thick protective layers on parts subjected to significant operational loads. The oxide layer retains its strength and abrasion resistance, while the surface acquires a smooth, matte, or polished texture depending on the pre-treatment technology and layer thickness.

chemical oxidation

In addition to anodizing, we offer chemical oxidation services – an effective method for metal corrosion protection. Chemical oxidation provides a durable dielectric coating, decorative effect, and moderate corrosion protection, especially when subsequently impregnated or sealed.

Executing:

  • Chemical conductive oxidizing
  • Chemical conductive oxidizing stainless steels
  • Chemical conductive oxidizing aluminum
  • Chemical conductive oxidizing brass

During the chemical oxidation of aluminum, the part is immersed in an oxidizing solution, typically containing nitric or sulfuric acid with oxidizing additives. The solution temperature is maintained within the range of 20–90 °C, depending on the required thickness of the protective layer.

During the reaction, an Al₂O₃ oxide film with a porous structure forms on the surface of aluminum. For thin decorative coatings, the layer thickness is 0.1–1.5 µm, and for protective coatings, it is 3–10 µm.

The porous structure of the film allows the layer to be subsequently impregnated with various substances: organic dyes for coloring or resins and wax for sealing.

To improve the corrosion resistance and durability of the coating, pore sealing is performed, in which the oxide film is treated with hot water or saturated steam, as a result of which the pores are filled with Al₂O₃ hydrate, and the surface becomes denser and more resistant to external influences.

After the process is complete, the part is dried at room temperature or in special drying chambers, after which the oxide layer is ready for use.

Galvanizing metal

High-quality electroplating for your products

Galvanizing is the application of a zinc coating to the surface of steel or iron products for corrosion protection. Zinc provides not only a mechanical barrier but also electrochemical protection: if the coating is damaged, the zinc «takes the hit» by oxidizing first. During the galvanizing process, zinc is deposited onto the metal surface from an electrolyte via an electric current.

ProsThe coating is very smooth, shiny, and aesthetic. Ideal for fasteners (bolts, nuts) as it doesn't clog the threads.

DrawbacksThin protective layer (requires additional passivation).

During galvanization, the part undergoes the following stages:

  1. Degreasing
  2. Etching
  3. Flushing
  4. Galvanizing
  5. Passivation
  6. Drying

Galvanized zinc plating is particularly important for fasteners (bolts, nuts), automotive parts, and construction structures.

In addition to corrosion protection, electro-galvanizing not only significantly increases the service life of metal products but also creates a decorative coating.

After additional processing (passivation), the surface can be blue, yellow, or black.

Powder coating

Powder coating of metal parts of any complexity

Powder coating is a method of applying a protective and decorative layer to a metal part using a dry polymer powder, which polymerizes in an oven after application.

The process begins by placing a part into a powder coating booth and coating the surface with electrostatically charged polymer particles (e.g., epoxy, polyester, or acrylic powder). The charged particles are attracted to the metal and evenly distributed over the entire surface, including hard-to-reach areas.

After applying the powder, the part is placed in a curing oven, where the temperature is maintained between 160–200°C for thermosetting powders.

During heating, the powder melts, flows, and polymerizes, forming a continuous, dense, and homogeneous polymer layer. The coating thickness is typically 50–150 µm, but for specialized products, it can reach 200–300 µm.

The finished coating has high resistance to corrosion, impact, abrasion, and UV radiation, as well as decorative properties – it can be matte, glossy, textured, or metallic.

Powder coating does not contain solvents, which makes the technology environmentally friendly and ensures uniform coverage over the entire surface of the product, including complex geometric shapes.
